Zero Waste Week – Soap Demos
Mark your calendars, Castro Valley Sanitary District’s 8th Annual Zero Waste Week is coming up and we want you to celebrate with us!
From Feb. 6 to Feb. 11, CV San will be hosting events and promotions across the city to encourage sustainable practices and zero waste.
We honored to be included, and for our part, we will be hosting two in-store events. Our events are focused on our refillable soap program with demos, info, free samples, and promotions.
On Monday, February 6th from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm come kick off the week with staff, board members, and volunteers who will be on site tabling to announce the promotion and handing out bulk soap samples and coupons.
The join us again on Saturday, February 11th from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm and try out our bulk soap from Puretergent; an Oakland-based, woman-owned maker of biodegradable, graywater-safe, and hypoallergenic soaps. We’ll have a hand washing station out to let you see how great it is.
While we’re still waiting on our new machine, we will still have bulk soap available all week, and we encourage every customer to bring in their own containers to go home with some soap with a sizable discount.
